Did you know that baking soda is tough on drain clogs? If your sink is draining slowly try pouring ½ cup baking soda, following it up with ½ cup vinegar. Cover the drain for 5 minute and then flush with hot water.
Polishing your silver can be as easy as boiling a pot of water. First, use a mild soap to hand wash the pieces. Then place them in an aluminum foil-lined pot. In a separate pot, combine 1 quart of boiling water and ¼ cup baking soda and 2 teaspoons salt. Pour the baking soda-salt mixture over the silver and cover with a lid. Let the solution sit for up to five minutes. Remove your (newly polished) silver, rinse, dry, and you’re done!
